Measured performance of exhaust air heat pumps in Finnish apartment buildings

چکیده

The energy efficiency of existing apartment buildings is playing an important role in and climate targets. In Finland, mechanical exhaust ventilation system commonly used older buildings. Hence, there could be saving potential by air heat pump (EAHP). this work two cases have been studied. Buildings were built 1960’s 1970’s renovation equipped with hybrid heating system: district system. Two years measurement data, 2018 2019, was collected to evaluate the performance systems. According data monthly coefficient (COP) calculated as well seasonal (SCOP) defined. COP values varied from 3,1 4,6 SCOP about 3,7. Heating cost savings 23-31 %. Energy class before after EAHP installation calculated. If at least 50 % consumption covered then also improved.

Performance of Alternative Refrigerants in Heat Pumps and Air Conditioners

In this paper the results of both modeling and testing a representative 3-ton air-to-air heat pump running with the baseline refrigerant (HCFC-22) and zero ODP alternative refrigerants will be presented. Alternative refrigerant simulation runs are made with two pure fluids (HFC-134a and HFC-152a) and an azeotropicmixture (60/40wt%) ofHFC-32 and HFC125 (Allied-Signal Inc. U.S. Patent 4,978,467)....

Performance of R432A to Replace HCFC22 in Residential Air-Conditioners and Heat Pumps

In this study, thermodynamic performance of R432A and HCFC22 is measured in a heat pump bench tester under both air-conditioning and heat pumping conditions. R432A has no ozone depletion potential and very low greenhouse warming potential of less than 5. R432A also offers a similar vapor pressure to that of HCFC22 for ‘drop-in’ replacement. Test results showed that the coefficient of performanc...

Experimental Analysis of a Heat Cost Allocation Method for Apartment Buildings

The correct estimate of individual thermal energy consumptions, and consequently, a fair heat cost allocation among the residents of apartment buildings with centralized heating systems, represents an important driving force towards energy saving, energy efficiency and the reduction of pollutant emissions. Nowadays, in those contexts where direct heat meters cannot be used because of the layout...

Tools for Performance Simulation of Heat, Air and Moisture Conditions of Whole Buildings

Abstract Humidity of indoor air is an important factor influencing the air quality and energy consumption of buildings as well as durability of building components. Indoor humidity depends on several factors, such as moisture sources, air change, sorption in materials and possible condensation. Since all these phenomena are strongly dependent on each other, numerical predictions of indoor humid...

Interactive Configuration of High Performance Renovation of Apartment Buildings by the use of CSP

This paper is a prospective study which looks at the possibility of configuring high performance renovation of apartment buildings by the use of constraint satisfaction problem (CSP). This study is one part of a project called CRIBA which aims to industrialize high performance thermal renovation of mid-rise (up to seven stories) apartment buildings. The renovation is based on external rectangul...
